Sanctuary Support Supercar Event in aid of Alex’s Wish

Tom Lewis, CEO of Sanctuary Serviced Accommodation, expressed his delight at being one of the main sponsors of the highly anticipated Supercar event held at Ratcliffe College on Sunday 1st June. The event was organised in support of Alex’s Wish, a remarkable Leicestershire-based charity dedicated to funding research and treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy — a severe and life-limiting muscle-wasting condition that affects young boys.

The Supercar event drew huge crowds and was a dream come true for motor enthusiasts, families, and supporters of the charity alike. Over 100 elite and exotic vehicles were showcased, from Ferraris and Lamborghinis to the ultra-rare Bugatti Veyron — one of only 18 in the world and the only one of its kind in the UK. The event not only turned heads with its stunning line-up of cars but also raised vital funds and awareness for a cause close to many local hearts.

Sanctuary Serviced Accommodation, a growing name in luxury short-term stays across the Midlands and beyond, showed strong community spirit through its sponsorship of the event. As part of their involvement, the Sanctuary team also set up an engaging stand featuring a golf putting challenge, giving visitors the chance to win a bottle of bubbly. With all proceeds from the challenge going directly to Alex’s Wish, it added a fun and competitive twist to the day while helping raise even more money for the charity.

Reflecting on the day, Tom Lewis said, “It was a brilliant day, and we are so pleased to help and be part of this. I have met so many amazing people, and the cars on display are fantastic — and all for such a great cause.”

The event proved to be more than just a spectacle of high-performance engineering; it was a heartfelt celebration of community, generosity, and the power of local businesses and individuals coming together to support a cause greater than themselves. Sanctuary’s involvement demonstrates the company’s commitment not only to excellence in accommodation but also to making a difference in the communities it serves.

For Tom Lewis and his team, supporting Alex’s Wish isn’t just about writing a cheque — it’s about showing up, getting involved, and using their platform to help others. That sense of responsibility and purpose shone through on the day, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who visited the Sanctuary stand.

With stunning cars, a sunny atmosphere, and generous fundraising efforts throughout the day, the Supercar event at Ratcliffe College was a tremendous success. Thanks to sponsors like Sanctuary Serviced Accommodation, the event not only thrilled car lovers but also made a significant contribution to Alex’s Wish and the incredible work they do to help children and families affected by Duchenne.
